Trevor’s parents are Tom and Sue and he has a younger brother and two older sisters. His younger brother, Cody, took over for Trevor as the starting quarterback at Edinboro and is now a three-year starter as a senior, marking seven years with a member of the Harris family under centre for the Fighting Scots. Both Trevor and his brother attended Marion Pleasant High School. Trevor enjoys working out, playing golf and beating Chad Kackert at ping-pong in his spare time. Trevor majored in mathematics at Edinboro and returned there in the 2013 off-season to pursue a Masters degree in Educational Leadership, while also serving as Running Backs Coach and Strength and Conditioning Coach for the football team. In January 2013, he travelled to the Dominican Republic with "Meeting God in Missions" to build houses for families.
