Tyler attended Merivale High School, in Ottawa, where he played tackle, tight end and fullback on offence and at tackle, end and outside linebacker on defence. He was the team MVP, league MVP and the League defensive MVP as a senior. His favourite TV show is The Office and his favourite food is steak. Tyler’s father, Richard, played for Ottawa, Toronto and Winnipeg in the CFL and also played in the USFL. His mom is Wendy Holmes and he has four older siblings. Tyler’s nickname is ‘Boots’ and he is majoring in management at Tulsa.
