2008: Selected in the 2nd round (13th overall) by the Toronto Argonauts in the CFL Canadian Draft… Signed a contract with the Argonauts on May 6, 2008…Attended training camp before suffering a leg injury…Returned to McMaster University where he played out his final year of CIS eligibility and completed his degree.

2008: Attended training camp with the Argonauts but returned to school to complete his eligibility…Played in four games, missing five games due to hamstring injury, but caught 23 passes for 277 yards and 2 TD…Also ran once for 21 yards…2007 Played in all eight regular season games…Named CIS First-Team All-Canadian…Led CIS in receiving yards with 958, also the second highest season total in school history…Set Marauder all-time single-season school recorded by catching 53 passes…Led OUA with nine touchdown passes including a 108-yard score which was the longest completion in McMaster history…Averaged 119.75 yards receiving per game…2006 Played six conference games…Caught 10 passes for 129 yards…2005 Played four conference games…Had nine receptions for 139 yards…2004 Did not play football as a freshman to pursue academics.

Mike attended Leaside High School in Toronto where he was the special teams player of the year. He first joined the football team in grade 12 after years of playing hockey at a high level. He enjoys watching movies and golfing in his free time and is a strong supporter of the Sian Bradwell Fund For Children With Cancer. Mike has two older siblings, Dave, a PhD graduate from M.I.T., and Suzanne, an emergency room doctor in St. Catharines. He majored in civil engineering at McMaster University and works as a field co-op student with PCL Constructors during the off-season.
