2010: Started three regular season games…Earned the starting left guard spot out of Lions’ training camp…A serious knee injury sustained in Week 3 ended his season.
2009: Dressed in 15 regular season games…Was on 46-man reserve for two games and added to the injured list for the other…Played backup lineman and on special teams…Made first career start in Hamilton…CFL Playoffs Dressed in East Semi-Final crossover win at Hamilton and in East Final crossover loss at Montreal.
2008: Missed season with injury.
2007: Invited to CFL Evaluation Camp in Toronto…Selected by the B.C. Lions in the 4th Round, 32nd Overall, in the CFL Canadian Draft…Returned to school.
Played four years at McMaster University (2004-07)…Named to McMasters all-decade team in 2010…2007 Dressed in every game in his final year…2006 Earned Second-Team OUA All-Star…Racked up 18 tackles and two sacks in five games…2005 Named First-Team OUA All-Star…2004 Named First-Team OUA All-Star and a Second-Team CIS selection.
Andrew was a Political Science major at McMaster. He enjoys hip hop music as well as giving back to his community and working with kids. He was an active member of the Lions’ community programs while in Vancouver. Andrew grew up in the Beach area of Toronto until high school when he moved to Mississauga and attended St. Joseph S.S. for one year. He then moved to Niagara Falls and completed high school at St. Paul High School. He played one year of junior football with the Burlington Braves. Andrew’s older brother, Travis Anderson, had brief stints with the Ottawa Rough Riders and the Argonauts. While at McMaster, he played with current teammates Chris Van Zeyl, Jason Pottinger and Mike Bradwell.
