The Toronto Argonauts’ commitment to the well-being of youth expands beyond their experiences in the classroom and for the 5th straight year is engaging students in the importance of physical activity. Argo-Cise, which is presented by GoodLife Fitness, works to engage and educate elementary and middle school students in the importance of physical activity and healthy eating. The program begins with a school-wide assembly which acts as a pep rally to excite the students, and then moves to an extended 30 minute outdoor recess which focuses on physical activity. Toronto Argonauts Players, Cheerleaders and Jason the Mascot interact with the students through an organized circuit of fitness activities, demonstrating new skills and providing student the opportunity to achieve their daily physical activity requirement.
