In honour of the 1991 Grey Cup team, which will re-unite for their 20th Anniversary next weekend, argonauts.ca will feature exclusive content every day this week leading into the return of one of the most memorable squads in CFL history.

On Sunday, September 25, Argos supporters can be part of an exclusive team reunion lunch featuring a 1991 alumnus at each table. 

The three-course meal will bring back memories and fun as the championship team is feted. 

Proceeds from the luncheon will benefit the Argos’ Level The Playing Field program, helping the next generation of football players.  In addition, there will be a silent auction and each attendee will receive a collectable 1991 mini-helmet.

1991 was a year to remember for fans of football and the Double Blue.  A 13-5 regular season record, new owners John Candy, Wayne Gretzky and Bruce McNall, CFL rookie of the year Rocket Ismail, CFL coach of the year Adam Rita, record attendance numbers, stars like Matt Dunigan, Rodney Harding, Carl Brazley, Lance Chomyc, Pinball Clemons and Paul Masotti, and, of course, a Grey Cup Championship helped carve the 1991 Argonauts team into CFL history. 

The 20th anniversary of this unforgettable team will be celebrated at the next Argos home game on September 24.  For the first time, over 25 members of the 1991 squad will be brought together and Argos fans can get an inside look.
